At an early age, Larry Dorman was passionate about becoming a lawyer. In 1976, he graduated from Stony Brook University. He then attended Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles and graduated with a Juris doctor degree in 1979. In order to practice law in multiples states, Larry studied and passed both the California and New York bar exams. He is admitted to practice law in New York and California.
Larry then worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens District Attorney’s Office from 1980 until 1983 under John Santucci, handling numerous misdemeanor and felony trials. It was here that Larry gained the experience necessary to handle complex legal matters and felt it was time to open his own practice.
Larry transitioned into private practice, handling various criminal and civil matters before concentrating on personal injury law exclusively. Since then, he has handled significant auto, slip and fall, and worker’s injury claims, netting clients over 50 million dollars in recoveries. Larry is now associated with the firm of Zwirn & Saulino in Brooklyn, handling cases in all the 5 boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties. Larry’s staff of paralegals speak fluent Spanish. His office has established itself as a well-respected law firm in New York State and the adjoining Spanish communities.
Larry is a member of the New York & California Bar. He is also a member of the New York State Trial Lawyer’s Association, Queens County Bar Association and Former Assistant District Attorney’s Association. He understands and speaks Spanish.
